I got some bad news for you-- the cerebrate given at the top of this forum to HTC is NOT repeat NOT WM6!I installed it Sunday and tried my 4gig microSDHC card-- "card not installed"I did some research and it's JUST mainly to do 2 things:1. Re-Brand the phone from Cingular to AT&T2. alter PTT

You are incorrect. The previous WM5 modify was indeed for re-branding and enabling PTT (as come up as a entertain of other features). However the current software for transfer from HTC is WM6. Whether or not 6GB SDHC cards work with it I don't know as I don't have one. But the OS is indeed WM6.
Unless they changed it THIS MORNING-- I'm correct. I just followed the cerebrate and it was the SAME PAGE I used for Sunday. I'm running it on my telecommunicate right now-- and I _DO_ know according to Microsoft. WM6 _DOES_ support SDHC cards-- check out their Windows Mobile web summon for details. So if it IS WM6 it's a deliberately crippled one because it's software that determines SD vs SDHC. I undergo a Sansa MP3 player and updated it to rockbox firmware (change state obtain), Using the OEM firmware from Sandisk it WILL NOT read HC cards. Using a simple software modify (rockbox) it does read HC cards. Furthermore there are discussons on other forums that tell that WM6 supports HC and WM5 does not.

As I said. I cannot speak to the SDHC functionality personally though I've seen others talking about 4GB SDHC cards working on their newly updated WM6 8525s. However when I downloaded the modify on October 31st it was WM6. The software currently up on the htc download page for the 8525 is WM6.
accept to the Windows Mobile 6 grade for the AT&T 8525. gratify review the following prior to downloading and installing the ROM update on your device:
This ROM is available from November 1. 2007 to February 1. 2008. After this go out the ROM will be removed from the website and will no longer be available for distribution.
This ROM modify is intended for the AT&T 8525 only and users should not fill or attempt to load this version on any other device as it may cause serious issues/alter.
GOOD MOBILE MESSAGING USERS - IMPORTANT INFORMATION:At this time. Good Mobile Messaging is not supported on the AT&T 8525 with Windows Mobile 6. It is recommended that Good Mobile Messaging users not upgrade their device's firmware at this time but download the WM6 update and save it for when Good Mobile Messaging is supported on the AT&T 8525 with Windows Mobile 6. Please say that the latest Windows Mobile 6 firmware is a permanent upgrade once it has been loaded on your AT&T 8525. There is no way to roll approve the AT&T 8525 to Windows Mobile 5 once the Windows Mobile 6 upgrade has been completed.
HTC strongly suggests that users create a back up write of this ROM and act it in a secure displace as all new and refurbished 8525 devices (including those received via Warranty Exchange) ordain come loaded with Windows Mobile 5 rather than Windows Mobile 6.
I installed the WM6 update put in the 6GB SDHC card I ordered from Amazon it works great
The only issue I had was one that affected WM5 too. I had to insert and remove the separate several times before the separate was recognized. There is a registry cut (look at the registry hacks section on the XDA Hermes forum) that seems to have resolved the issue for WM5 it should work for WM6 also. I will install the cut this week and see if it does.
A-HA!That does explain it. Silly ME for thinking that explore would bring to the top the change by reversal cerebrate.... I'll download the WM6 link and see if it's a different ROM case than the one I installed on Sunday (11/4).(bleah. I'll undergo to define all my personal preferences _again_.... <rolls eyes> )Okay. WM6 it is. Now.... (about an hour later...) Thanks. Billcoff for pointing out the issues with the various update links. And my 4gig SDHC card works a treat-- as it should.(anyone be a 2gig microSD separate cheap? <heh> )

WOot!Happy to report my 6gb Sandisk SDHC fired up without a attach. I've been lucky with my 8525. adjust problems. I also really like the little MicroMate USB adaptor that came with it. My laptop has a SD slot but when I've put a micro SD into an SD adaptor my lap always wanted to change the chip. But the MicroMate works great. communicate Edited by damianicus on 11-07-2007 06:59:16 AM
