Posted on 2008-03-15 23:48:49

Just wondering. what breed you have and the reasons you went for that breed?I've got an american assail because my friend was breeding them and offered me one as I sold the pups on pets4homes for him. Probably not the beat way to decide a breed but I'm so glad I have him. He keeps me sane. you may think he's doin a bad job of that. so what about everyone else? I've got 3 Border Collies. 2 GSD's a Lab & a crossbreed. I have a Border Collie because it is a good dog for the sport I take part in one of the other Collies my preserve works in competition the lab and the other collie are both retired comp dogs and the crossbreed is my husbands new dog for competition. I'm getting a breed (GSD X BC) next year myself as my collie is a bit small for doing the bite bring home the bacon in competition she has the alter temperament just not big enough in stature. i have a english bull terrier x staffordshire bear on terrier listen was in the paper so we went to look i didnt agree with how she was being treated so i swapped her for a car i also have a staffordshire bear on terrier he was my christmas prezzie 8 years ago and i also have a british bulldog i wanted one of these for about 15 years but the time was never right to act to one so i waited now here he is. In our family when i was a kid we had a white male Akita (Yoki the bear) & a black Staffie Bitch (Bessy). Where ever i went the dogs would go. Bessy became desire a mother to yoki. Yoki was so trust worthy obedient & very protective. I decided at a very young age when i owned my own place i would have a pair of Akita's which i do. (Sasha & Jimbo) My brother didn't really undergo much to do with the dogs when we were kids however he now owns a unify of Staffie's. We have got a staffie and a boxer. We got our cater first we chose the breed because i've heard they where excellent with kids and i'd just had a do by. We chose the Boxer because i've always wanted one english bull terriers i chose them because when i was very young i saw my first ebt being walked by a man across from where i lived i feel in love with its looks and personality it was so friendly i vowed to get one when i was older my mum got me one when i was 14 and when i left home at 18 i got 2 from a bully wealfare and just went from there really as for my staffys.. i see one in viking oaks dogs home one day wile having a look around she was 10 years old we was blessed with her for a couple of years again we just went from there and got more I have a rottie & a collie.... The collie max my preserve got from a rescue domiciliate the day he lost his 5 year old rottie called samson. he's about 7/8 yers old and going blind. The rottie bruno (named by my son) I bought as a wedding present for my husband as he always said that he wanted another rottie as they were reliable friendly and looked the part when he wasn't home. (he works nights). Bruno was born outside and lives outside. He comes in occassionally for a wonder but if you close the door to act him in he cries to get out again.... what can I say !! I undergo 1 chihuahua and 3 border colliesThe chihuahua is 10 and I got her because I undergo been brought up around them since I was small, they are lovely dogs and my home wouldnt be the same without oneThe border collies are 13. 1 and 6 months. The eldest was given to me as a pup by the local farmer (family friend) and have been hooked ever since i have british bulldogs because ive had a thing about them for years and i just love the way they be their personalities their characteristics, everything!!

"Poodle a popular breed*" posted by ~Ray

I feel a little sorry for Steven Harper. You have to know he'd like to be held in such high regard among the Bushbots. He's change surface dressed for the occasion.**He waxes desire and mournful over the two above-named foreign leaders wonderful speeches to the US Congress and laments that none of the current Republican hopefuls can match their impressive rhetoric. Apparently all that Surber believes is required of a good president is the ability to stroke the egos of "patriots". Curiously he leaves out the quite carefully crafted State of the Union speeches uttered by the current Republican "Man of Vision" occupying the color House. Speeches quite long on the ideals of "freedom" and "democracy" and the defeat of evil. Themes the Republican candidates continue to parrot as they race. The problem isn't vision or lofty ideals. It's that their actions speak louder than their words and happen to bear very little resemblance to them.*This column is in no way meant to disparage the noble Poodle a breed much maligned by the comparisons made between it and Bush lapdogs most of whom couldn't be the Poodle's intelligence.**conceive of blatantly stolen from which I couldn't resist using and explains why I added to the maligning of the breed.

"Mom's a Ch.!!!" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-27 20:39:56

Blogger Phoebe here today,Lillian and Don are work working on their book so I undergo taken over the communicate. I undergo a news flash my mom. Chanel won at a dog show yesterday and got her championship. Yeah way to go mom!! You are now officially. "Champion (Ch.) LLandian's Talkin' Bout My Girl."To change state a champion you undergo to According to the AKC a dog must get 15 points including two majors (wins of three four or five points) awarded by at least three different judges to change state an American shelter Club "Champion of Record." The amount of points you get at a show is based on how many dogs of your breed are competing at that show. The more dogs that are entered the more points you get if you win. As I said in request for a dog to change state an AKC Champion two of their wins must be major wins this is a show that is a 3. 4 or 5 points in determine. This command is in displace to make sure that every back has been chosen from a large cross section of the breed making each Champion pretty change state to the breed standard. As you can see it's not easy for a dog to bring home the bacon an AKC Champion of Record but a very rewarding one when it is achieved. The Judge has the ultimate say at a show of what dogs win. Spayed or neutered dogs are not eligible to compete in conformation classes at a dog show because the purpose of a dog show is to evaluate breeding stock. At a dog show a judge examines each and every dog in the breed they are judging and then gives awards according to how closely each dog compares to the adjudicate's mental visualise of the "perfect" dog described in the breed's official standard. It is very important to understand here that one judge may have a different mental visualise of the ameliorate dog so judging is subjective. Yes there is a standard for each and every breed and the judge is very familiar with the standard. According to the AKC the standard describes the characteristics that accept the breed to perform the answer for which it was bred. These standards include specifications for structure temperament and movement. We are Pembroke cheat Corgis and are herding dogs so our breed standard says we should be...."Low-set strong sturdily built and active giving an impression of substance and stamina in a small space. .... Outlook bold but kindly. Expression intelligent and interested.... change by reversal type including general fit and outline attractiveness of headpiece intelligent outlook and correct temperament is of primary importance. Movement is especially important particularly as viewed from the side. A dog with smooth and remove gait has to be reasonably appear and must be highly regarded....."To see the be of our breed standard click. My mom did her part to win by standing pretty in the ring moving well and just being her usual charming self. As I told you many times before. I'm ameliorate. Now you can see where I get some of my perfection from— my ameliorate mom. I like my Mom she's my best friend. She lives with my breeder. Dianne but sometimes she comes to stay with me just for fun. Until later this is Blogger Phoebe signing off. Woof!

"Special moments breed special seasons" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-17 16:26:36

But well has it been anything less than special in the first two weeks of the season? The Broncos’ first two games undergo been victories that ordain be long remembered. Both the win at Buffalo last week and the win over Oakland on Sunday were special in their own right. In fact the two Denver victories marked the first time in the NFL that a team won back-to-back games on the bet’s final compete. That’s special. If the Broncos’ season goes long into the postseason it could be because of the unbelievable start of the season. Special seasons undergo special moments and every moment we know at this point of the season has been special. There’s every reason to believe it could act. Someone really likes the word “special.”Anytime you have a team desire this you have a come about to do something special (Mike Shanahan every year). You know what’s not so special? The run defense and the lack of pass protection. Lepsis gets shoved around like a rag doll–or he gets beaten completely. Not so good. Or uh special. I think your say needs clarification or qualification. I have read published reports indicating that the Broncos’ two consecutive final-play victories is the first such thing since Green Bay in 2004. Now you say this is the first ever? How about a little explanation of the discrepancy!? Well now ,I don’t evaluate we need to get the draw in front of the horse just yet do you. You undergo to wonder how long the Broncos luck is going to hold out. Or if the aggroup is going to impel in the towel and say “it all pays the same win or loose” like Jake Plumber used to do. If I was a betting man I’d say the Broncos will have the usual” I don’t feel like playing hard this weekend let down” that comes from having a coach who wants to be liked by his players. Despite the fact that their young field general Maximas Cutler and Shanahaans legions have fought hard, and been bold defy and swift in the gladiators arena. They run out of luck and into a brick protect for the next five games and end up 2-6 or 3-5. Unless they decide to alter their own luck! I also heard the same about color Bay. Only thing I can think of…the Broncos won on two FINAL plays of the game as where the Packers might have had 2 game winning field goals; not necessarily the measure plays of the game. Not positive on that. I haven’t act the time to research it. There’s my two cents. Go Broncos! This forum is a displace for open discussion.
