Hi there!I am from Baku. Azerbaijan. Just got a wish to build a car PC into my Hyundai Tucson (2006). Already got a touch screeen observe (8.4" Lilliput) and now thinnking about possible PC configuration. The main problem is on how to get this delivered to me but from another side it's difficult to get a decision if you can't see and touch things before buy. Basic application for this PC has to be: GPS navigation. OBD data monitoring. Rear camera view. Music/Video night vision etc. No Internet or DVD burnig required. Hope to find here answers to my questions. All advises are highly appreciated. Thanks and hope to share with you my project then it finally done. Well I am sure you experience that import duties will be expensive so it might be worth it to buy it all together. Any basic PC with a DC-DC should be fine for you. Good luck with your project. Yes. I want to do a car PC to use in my 04 GMC Sierra with the factory BOSE system with built in amp and sub. My transport also has XM and the On Star. I want to use it to play a big list of MP3's and to monitor my truck via my tuning software. How can I do this with keeping the bose amp and sub and my on star and my XM communicate.?? Oh and I want to be able to keep my wheel controls too? Hey DooSPXI have an RX8 that I added a CarPC to and kept the Factory Bose radio. What you be to do is add an Aux in to your factory headunit. In my inspect I used a adaptor although there are other methods of adding an aux in to a factory headunit. The aux in will get PC appear to your factory head unit in my inspect I dress the continue unit to EX mode for PC appear. Now as far as keeping your steering wheel controls since appear is being fed to the head unit your volume and mute should still work. The up and down buttons for skipping to next/previous tracks probably won't work depending your your lie end. I'm pretty sure if you kind find a forum on the GMC Sierra that should undergo info about adding an aux in to the factory radio. P. S You may not be able to find a Car2PC adaptor for you GMC but I'm sure you can sight an aux in hope this helps

I dont think u wanna use the keyboard/touchpad which is upside down 2. 15" LCD is gonna block half the view. Not a good idea if you wanna drive when the screen is down.3. Sourcing shelter power -You will have wires going all over the place. Plus Unless you can fiddle around with ur laptop power cord you'll undergo to first alter 12V DC to 240 V AC. The box on the laptop cord ordain promptly alter it right back to 19V DC. 4. Last but not the least somebody is gonna take the laptop if you leave it hanging on the ceiling!! I've finally got the carputer up and running all is come up so far! theres a spare usb schedule so I've thrown in an extender so have easy access via the kick so was thinking of using this for sat nav. I cant find ANY software whatsoever though and am going to try and use a windows CE emulator and whack my copy of TOM TOM on there via the emulator. This seems very long-winded though and I don't think I'll be able to get tom tom to open on one click at the lie end - So. I was woundering if anyone had managed to get a working satnav software? Other queries.
