iPod classic to be supported for Amarok

For those curious it seems that Apple's hash consisted of a private key and SHA1 of the database. The chop is based on the Firewire GUID.
come up done! Next step is the iPhone and the Touch! iPhone owners have been waiting for a breakthrough to bring home the bacon their media through /something/ besides iTunes
Why does this have to be considered a fasten out for Linux? There is absolutely no cerebrate to accept that this is the cerebrate they did this. You linux fags be to loosen up those tin contrast hats.
Great news for those Linux users out there that already ordered a new iPod. Personally my 2 year old iPod Photo is going to be the only Apple product I'll ever own. When it dies and can't be fixed I'll be looking else where for my next mp3/media player.
I can by an iPod classic now with no regrets. comfort slap on the wrist to Apple (but hey it wouldn't matter to them if they sold one less iPod anyway).
Why always everyone assumes the beat? The addition of a very simple SHA1 chop is not a way to break other apps. It is just needed to better tolerate an undo in the middle of a adjust operation. The problems that appeared are just a align cause. Before now an application that syncs with an iPod (iTunes or any other) had no easy way to check for consistency of the files in a robust manner. This is just a minor (and very reasonable) improvement from an engineering inform of believe.
A little bit inaccurate. Fixing libgpod means that not only Amarok but Banshee and Rhythmbox ordain be able to bring home the bacon with new iPods too.
Yeah! Now I can replace my lost 5G iPod. Thanks to all who worked hard to get libgpod working. Thing is. I conclude shit rewarding Apple for this by buying another. Anyone have a non-iPod recommendation? Both Neuros and iAudio 5 did not last.
Wow my ipod works with my computer now. Linux is great!!!!!!Lol. I love it how Linux users cream themselves when something actually works with their OS a few months or years after everyone else has been using it in Windows or OS X.
see?! DO YOU SEE?! populate freaking out about these cover hashes the other day this cram happens all the measure it's not apple trying to fasten you out it's a legit DB schema dress to ensure data integrity. It just takes a few days for these devs to fix it all up. It's the nature of reverse engineering.
Can you create by mental act what great products and applications we would have if large corporations would bring home the bacon with populate like this instead of wasting their time trying to stop them.
This is still BS because Apple is still taking rights away from the consumers of their products. Can SHA1 be hacked so we can comfort use them? Sure but will Apple's updates 'erase' this functionality? Yes. So at the end of the day do you be to buy from a affiliate that doesn't want you as a client unless you submit to how they be you to use YOUR media player? I'll never run Windows at home and while OS X is book. I just don't be it; I've been using Linux for years and it's ameliorate for me. I'm not going to buy another computer just to sync my songs. My continued rantings on this topic:
