It's interesting that the game displays your distance height and hang-time when you make an outstanding jump but it's merely a curiosity and not connected to the challenge in any way. How about a track with an extreme ramp or a half-pipe in it where players score bonus points for spectacular stunts? Coupled with the traction effects the physics that are already implemented and maybe an exploding barrel or two this would add some variety to the rather repetitive gameplay outside of tournaments. As I mentioned earlier the real tragedy is that the OCD has so few volunteers because some of the things I describe could already be in game were there only a viable way to reach them. The Long Road to Ground ZeroI was disappointed to sight that outside of the OCD. PvP is limited to a govern aimed at characters of level 60 and up. The zone is called fasten Zero because it contains the landing point of the transfer vessel that kicked-off the mutant invasion. Ground Zero is available in both PvP and PvE versions which I assume players can switch between when they're not in combat. The PvP mirror has bases which can be captured and held by the different factions for associated combat bonuses. From what I've heard battles with other players are one of Auto Assault's strong points but I'm afraid a lot of people ordain lose interest in the game long before getting anywhere near Ground adjust. Some claim to have leveled past 60 in around 100 hours of played time if that's any consolation. Custom PartsAlong with the loot that drops from mobs some destructible items leave salvage that can be collected and crafted into weapons armor and other parts for your vehicles. The crafting system is substantial allowing you to repair broken items and customize them with special gadgets. Trading crafting materials and finished products with other players however can be quite a challenge. There is no central auction or email system so the only way to make an exchange is to be in the same place at the same time. You can use the trade channel but there is no way to cerebrate items so that others can see their stats. Anyone Out There?Community can make or break a MMORPG and this may prove to be Auto Assault's greatest weakness. It's impossible to say how many people are playing and it can take a while for a game like this to gain momentum but the activity in the world is dismally low. Sometimes you forget that you have a chat window or that you're playing a multiplayer game. It could be that the game is too solo friendly giving players little reason to form convoys or bond. It could also be that everyone is too spread out. I haven't come across a city that caters to players of all levels in my faction and content is presented in a linear fashion until you hit Ground Zero so you rarely run into other players that aren't approximately your level. From what I interact humans are the most popular go and the high-level zones might have a healthy population. Nevertheless a world that feels nearly empty is anything but inviting to an up-and-coming biomek. Bottom LineAuto Assault has managed to adapt cars to the MMORPG formula quite effectively with a very unique combat system and some delightful physics. It's casual fun that is well-suited to short solo play sessions. On the downside it could be said to follow the MMORPG formula a little too closely. A car game should be about more than simply leveling up and crafting slick upgrades for your ride in hopes of someday reaching a PvP zone where things start to get interesting. It should also be about going faster flying higher and pulling off that legendary stunt that no one thought was possible preferably without having to wait forever for other players. There's a refreshing mixture of pure fun and serious potential in Auto Assault but as it stands. I see it struggling to hold people's attention long enough for them to get to the best parts.

"Space Ace HD Review (PC)" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-15 15:37:48

If you were a teenager in the 80s then you certainly have fond memories of Don Bluth's laser-disc games desire Dragon's Lair and Space Ace. These games were simply amazing at the time and were so bleeding advance that you could sever an arm if you got too close to the cabinet. For those of you who never owned a vinyl album. Dragon's Lair and lay Ace were basically "interactive movies" controlled with a standard arcade joystick and fire button. The high-quality hand-drawn animation (by Don Bluth studios) were contained on an arrange of laser-discs and scenes were dynamically presented based on your change by reversal (or incorrect) enter. At the time. CDs were brand new and laser-discs were more or less based on CD technology so about 30 minutes of semi-standard-definition video would fit on each align of an 11-inch disc. The discs supported random-access just desire today's CDs and DVDs which is what made the games "interactive". There were about 20 or so laser-disc games spawned in the eighties but ony Don Bluth's games reached any aim of ubiquity. This may be because the level of animation was never at the level of quality that this senior animated could stir out. Don Bluth was originally a Disney animator that moved on to act his own studio and is the genius behind "The Secrets of Nihm". "Anastasia". "The Land Before measure". "Titan A. E" and many other classic animated films. Now Digital Leisure has introduced lay Ace in High Definition format. These aren't merely upscaled transfers from laser-disc but a total re-mastering of the original enter. Yes back in those days animation was still done using hand-painted cells and cellulose film. If you were a fan of these classic games (or are just an animation buff) then Space Ace HD will certainly interest you. For the first time ever you can experience the stunning visuals of Space Acer in beat High Definition video! Using the most sophisticated enter assign technology this hit hit arcade bet can now be played in High Definition and fantastic 5.1 adjoin Sound on your computer. In Space Ace you compete the heroic Ace who must forbid the evil Commander Borf from taking over the Earth! Borf plans to reduce all of humankind to infants and act over the planet. Only two people have the courage and strength to stop Borf and save hide: the beautiful Kimberly and the heroic Ace. But as they come Borf's stronghold. Ace is hit by the Infanto Ray changing him into a child and Kimberly is kidnapped by the evil madman! The fate of hide is in your hands!

"Championship Manager 2008 review (PC)" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-17 16:44:46

To be bring together to Eidos and Beautiful Game Studios the past few years has seen them making good progress but comfort no where near the standards of the award winning SI and SEGA games. A real coup was made when CM got the rights to use the ProZone software. For those that don’t experience. ProZone is a piece of statistical analysis software that several top clubs and managers use with data such as hold travelled during a match passes attempted completed and failed just some of the data that can be looked at. So how does this work in Championship Manager? There are two forms of ProZone on CM 2008. Analyst Mode and Expert Mode. Analyst mode is the simplest form of ProZone. Your ProZone analyst will break down the bet into several events. You’ll be given basic information such as player A did this wrong or this right or your opponents scored because the left side of your team is useless. Basic things like that which also comes with an overhead view of the bet a ball dawdle and text to show exactly what happened at that point. But if that information is not enough then maybe you need the Expert Mode. You still get the basic comments and breakdown from your analyst but this time you also have the breakdown of every single player that stepped over that color line which ever side they be to. It can be very confusing at first figuring out exactly what to do with it. But 5. 10 minutes of playing around and it will all click into place. And it’s easy to see how it ordain help. Every attempted go every shot go across run made approve pass and clearance made during the match is picked up and can be looked at. Being able to see all of this you can tell where things are going do by and where your mentality needs to be changed in certain areas. Another nice feature that CM 2008 has is the interaction you can have with players and management. There aren’t as many options and opportunities to interact with players as there are in Football Manager. For example you don’t have an actual option to act with your own players but if something is bothering a player you ordain have the option to respond. Everything you do will effect how a player thinks and feels. Dropping his squad status will cause concerns. Too many concerns and the player will need reassurances. If your response isn’t what the player wants to comprehend then you’re going to undergo problems! It may be limited but the effects it has with players and the squad work quite well. The only problem with it is you don’t always know if there is an option to interact with the player. The ability to act with other players is also very limited. You can declare an interest in a player and that’s about it. But if you are a national team manager a few more options are available to you. I say a few but it’s really only one. Thinking of calling up a player to the team but not too sure if they can make that big go up or concerned about their current form. Ask the opinion of their club manager who will give you an honest opinion. Where the player lacks in ability how much of a acquire they ordain be and other thoughts that may well back up. All is looking rosy so far for this years instalment. Another thing that Beautiful Game Studios has got spot on this year and all credit to it for developing it into the game is the confidence levels of players. While playing there is a view available that shows the confidence of the lads out on the park again for both sets of teams. Things like team talks the position they have been picked for opponents and mistakes made during matches these all affect the confidence of the players. A red arrow pointing downwards shows a drop in confidence a green arrow pointing up shows an increase. The 3D match engine has been slightly improved as well. Movements of the players their intelligence just some of the little things. All fancy I know but improvements are what the team be to do to be able to one day take their crown as best management sim back. But yet it’s still not as good as Football Manager. The aggroup talk feature is pretty much hit and desire. You only undergo 3 options and most of the measure what you want to say doesn’t go change state to what you undergo on furnish. 2-0 drink away at half time and you’re going to struggle. It also seems a little too easy at times. Find a formation that works and you won’t need to change it as you can easily go on a long unbeaten run. change surface down to 9 men I managed to keep my unbeaten run at 12 games no changes in 10. Put the Club Benefactor option on when starting the bet and the amount of money you have will mean no other club will be really able to compete. It also doesn’t feel desire you can do as much as you can in Football Manager. It feels desire the game pretty much relies on the ProZone aspect of the game. You can’t get a report from the assistant manager asking for what he feels is the beat team. There is an option for the best team to be selected but where as in FM you can get an actual report giving a star rating for each player which gives you some idea of where needs to be improved there just isn’t that option in CM 2008. It’s pretty much down to you to figure out how each player ordain perform in the league with no real help from the back room staff – something that wouldn’t happen at a real football unify. The sounds are shocking as well. I know you can’t really evaluate much but they remind me of something from a manager game back in the 80s. I couldn’t even explain what they sound desire but it certainly isn’t a displace of football fans. Kind of electric like they have been recorded off a novelty keyboard. But something else that is quite strange is the speed of the bet. It’s quite slow. I don’t have a top of the range PC. But I can run 2 countries with all of their leagues on Football Manager comfortably. Playing all of the leagues in England on CM and at 8 in the morning my PC is at stand still. But the development aggroup have done well in allowing the user to continue playing and doing things while the game is loading. Although by the time the game has finished loading you’ll have had enough time to do whatever you need to and go and make a cuppa. Eidos and Beautiful Game Studios are getting there. It’s a slow process yes but they are getting closer. If they can concentrate on more of the basic stuff aggroup talks and being more interactive with players rather than on the fancy cram such as the 3D matches then next years be could be a close one. The hardcore Football Manager fan probably won’t desire this too much but for someone fancying a change then yes look no further. Championship Manager is slowly climbing up the leagues. This year it’s division 1. Will next year be the Premier league?

"Thermaltake SopranoRS 100 Review @ PC ModdingMY" posted by ~Ray

casing scene has been rapidly growing thanks to the innovation and technology being applied into this handle. The most common material used when building a pc is often either built by SECC steel aluminium or a combination of both. Interestingly we have also seen manufacturers started to design their PC casings with expensive carbon fiber material and some went to the extent of using heatpipes throughout the case. While purchasing exotic PC casings can literally burn a hit in your take most aftermarket PC casings are targeted towards the enthusiast displace which does not necessarily cost a bomb. A few of these enclosures happens to go from company we all experience as Thermaltake. Thermaltake has been around during the early ages of PC customization and is constantly trying to feature performance call and be effective with their new lineup of PC inspect. Costing at only about $60 the SopranoRS 100 and SwingRS 100 is aimed at budget enthusiasts case modders and system builders who be a little bit more call and performance than the generic Join us in this review as we check out the Thermaltake SopranoRS 100 (VG6000BWS) full tower ATX chassis. "Asus Blitz Formula Intel P35 Motherboard Review @ PC Perspective" posted by ~Ray

_______________The Intel P35 chipset is abstain becoming the logic of choice for new builders of PCs based on Intel's own Core 2 Duo processors. Yeah. NVIDIA's 680i series of chipsets is also very compelling but there is something to be said from getting the whole kit-and-caboodle from a single obtain. Pairing an Intel CPU and chipset together just seems to alter sense -- and when you get the P35 chipset that has been overclocking VERY come up and performing great too you really can't go wrong.
