Publisher Hyperion will create the next book in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy's sci-fi series. Eoin Colfer author of the Artemis Fowl children series will extend the Hitchhikers series originally written by Douglas Adams who passed away in 2001. The new schedule. And Another Thing will be published in October 2009. It's a brave and dangerous move as the Hitchhikers series was very wedded to 1970s/1980s sensibilities and looks about as relevant to science fiction today as a Ben Elton stand-up gig ranting that Maggie Thatcher stinks.
October 2008. UK cable channel Sky1 will be showing the J. J. Abrams. Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman's new TV baby. Fringe - they're the gang behind the upcoming Star Trek feature. Lost and Alias. Starring newcomer Anna Torv of Mistresses fame. Josh Jackson - Dawson’s Creek. Bobby. John Noble - Lord of The Rings: The Return of the King and Lance Reddick - Lost. The Wire.
