Hi guys sorry to be a burden but I am a complete novice at this. Have no idea with where to go away but really be to try. I am a be at home mum with 2 young children. I don't be to put them in nursery so I need to find work from home. As there never seems to be work from home vacancies about. I feel the beat way forward is to set up on my own perhaps as a virtual assistant. I have experience in customer service sales & recruitment sectors. I am proficient in data entry call handling create reading and many other admin functions. write typing about 60wpm. So what do you think - can I do this? Where do I go away do I need to go the whole hog and sort out a business name and do business plan or can I go just start off by finding work here and there until it takes off then worry about that. Sorry if I have lost you all already - any advice you can furnish me will be gratefully received. Thanks
Hi there. It seems from your message that the kind of work you would like to go into is administration? You might not need to do all the company formation business names and other formalities. It depends on firstly who you would desire your clients to be? You can easily set up as a sole trader and that would probably be the quickest and simplest method. In terms of business plans you won't need one unless you are looking for financing from a bank or government funding etc. wish that helps. Mark

As an established Virtual Assistant I would advise you visit and join (the biggest international place for VAs and aspiring VAs) and also (specifically for UK VAs). Although a Business intend is usually required for raising funds it serves as a great means of focusing the mind as you intend to set up. You would do come up to make a Marketing Plan too. The website provides information about business types and setting up a business which applies to any business. Being a VA is not an easy option - especially while you have children at home. Have you considered how you will command telecommunicate calls while your children are making a go? Even the best behaved children have bad days - I've been there!I you undergo any questions gratify do go ahead and ask.
