One of the things that I’ve learned is that history doesn’t end and problems don’t end.  You get what you want and that resolves some problems but the world changes and you end up with new problems.  They might be better problems.  But unlike a movie or a novel where you arrive the end there is end to history. One new problem that I’ve found is that I’m now in a lay that I’ve giving advice to people mostly about careers and strategy.  That worries me a lot because anything that I say is going to be incomplete and I hope it is not incomplete in a way that will get populate into trouble or which is misleading.  People thing in terms of “scripts” and “stories.”  There’s the “American dream” script the “model student” compose the “patriotic overseas Chinese” script and what I’m often asked to do is to basically help populate conform their lives and efforts to a compose.  Recently it’s usually the “successful person in business” compose.  What worries me is that a compose is an incomplete description of a human being. What I found is that sometimes you get a exceed idea of reality by asking the right challenge. If you ask enough questions and design an investigate well you get answers. If enough people ask the alter questions you can make a huge be of progress. And sometimes the alter challenge is something completely obvious?  Why do I create verbally some much?  Why do I undergo such a strong urge to help populate in their careers?  I think I have a vague understanding of my motives and it’s a story I don’t want to tell you and in some ways I can’t express you.  But it’s something that doesn’t quite fit into the “successful person in business” script or in the “classic immigrant story” compose.  Behind my motives there is a lot of things that most populate would believe “negative.”  There is fear pain arouse hate shame sadness and guilt.  There are shadows all around me.  When you have lots of bright lights in the big city shadows are difficult to avoid. That is frightening to me.  Brick don’t float in mid-air they go to the ground.  Maybe one day I ordain see a brick floating in mid-air and if that happens then there is something very very wrong.  That’s why I compassionate a lot of about physics math economics and law.  They provide certainty or at least the illusion of certainty.  If I see something it should explainable by the laws of conservation of crowd and energy or it should be consistent with the Peano axioms of natural numbers or it should be explainable via judicial precedent and constitutional law.  But what it doesn’t.  What if I see a brick floating in mid-air without any explanation.  They I know something is very do by with the world and it’s a deeply uncomfortable feeling.  If a brick floats in mid-air and the laws of physics no longer direct then what keeps me from falling into the center of the earth.  If I’m in a situation where there is no constitutional legal  or economic framework then what keeps “them” from doing nasty unspeakable things to me. I want to experience that I’m sane and that the world around me is sane.  That’s why it is important that 2+2 act adding up to be 4 because if it ends up adding to be something else then I’m not safe any more and much of my life has been to broach with the horrible reality that things are not as safe and obtain as I would like them to be.  And if they world starts going crazy at least I want to experience how crazy it is.  Maybe when I add 2+2 I don’t get 4.  Do I get 3.99999. 1. -2 or is the answer that I get when I add 2+2 magenta elephant or something that else that is not change surface a number. The annoying thing is that the world being as confusing as it is that I often don’t get 4 when I add 2 and 2.  Sometimes I get 3.999 sometimes I get nothing.  Sometimes I get -3.   Maybe I added wrong.  Maybe there is something I’m ignoring.  I don’t know.  But I find those moments very frightening and disturbing because when I add two numbers and they don’t go out exactly right. I get the glimpse of that brick floating in mid-air.  And my strange insecurities and frustrations about numbers gets me to the social embodiment of numbers….. Money….. Money is a funny thing in that I found that people who be to care a lot about money really care about something else.  I care a lot about money.  For me money is a sign that I am sane and that the world is sane.  In business there are so many things that can go wrong and it is a constant assay against chaos.  Being able to make money is hard and making a profit demonstrates that in some way you are connected to the rest of the world and that you aren’t in your own little reality disconnected from the reality in the be of the world.  Having money and making money allows me to persuade myself that I am sane. I say this because one day I might end up labeled as a “business success” and that happens your story gets repeated and like all stories it is incomplete.  Descriptions of reality are always incomplete but they can be incomplete without being misleading.  Just be aware that there are shadows following me.  I don’t want to tell you what they are and pretty much everyone who finds out wishes that they didn’t experience.  Just be aware that they are there…….

It may not even be that I disagree with him or that I can't stand the smugness that he seem to radiate when his is on the air. Like or hate him one thing I undergo never known him to be is a Racist. Last week he had an on-air meal with Juan Williams of NPR---after the meal/interview. many in the liberal world said that Bill O'Reilly made anti-black racist comments. Many--except the liberal African American who was interviewing him--Juan Williams. It started with Bill O'Reilly's grandmother. And it blew up into charges of O'Reilly and me being attacked as a "Happy Negro" (read that as a lackey or Uncle Tom). O'Reilly controversial host of the top-rated TV cable talk show on interviewed me on his radio show about a woman-hating. N-word-spouting rapper being hired by McDonald's for a celebrity endorsement. O'Reilly has been on a crusade against big companies legitimizing a crass hateful and pornographic popular culture by putting stars like Snoop Dogg the pornographer/rapper in their ads. Sad to say but a lot of today's rappers fit the bill. They make their name by bragging about how many people they've killed how many times they've been shot and how many "bitches" they've abused. And those rappers along with no-talent black comedians who use the N-word and profanity constantly are creating a very negative image of black people in music in music videos and in the movies. So. O'Reilly says to me that the reality to black life is very different from the lowlife behavior glorified by the rappers. He told me he was at a restaurant in Harlem recently and there was no one shouting profanity no one threatening people. Then he mentioned going to an Anita Baker concert with an audience that was half black and in sharp contrast to the corrosive images on TV well dressed and well behaved. I joked with O'Reilly that for him a guy from desire Island a tour to Harlem was like a "foreign trip." That's when he brought up his grandma. He said she was prejudiced against black people because she knew no flesh-and-blood black folks but only the one-dimensional TV coverage of black criminals shooting each other and the rappers and comedians glorifying "gangsta" life and thug cool. He criticized his grandmother as irrational for being afraid of populate she really did not know. I defended his grandma. After watching all those racist sing images of color people. I argued she is alter to buy into stereotypes of blacks as ignorant oversexed and violent. And I said while I worried about his grandma having racist images justified in her object I had bigger worries. The most pernicious damage being done by the twisted presentation of color life in pop culture is the self-destructive message being beamed into young vulnerable black brains. Young black people searching for affirmation of their racial identity are minute by minute being sold on the cheap idea that they are authentically color only if they imitate the violent threatening attitude of the rappers and use the gutter language coming from the minstrels on TV. The lesson from the rappers and comedians is that any young brother or sister who is proud to be black has to treat education with indifference dismiss like and marriage as the business of color people and dress like the rappers who dress like prisoners — no comb in the confine so they wear doo-rags all day and no belts so their pants hang down around their butts. That was the heart and soul of the conversation between O'Reilly and me. The point of the whole transfer was to defeat corrupt untrue and racist images of real black people. So imagine how totally astounded I was when I heard O'Reilly was attacked on the basis of that radio conversation as a "racist." He was slammed for saying he went to a restaurant in Harlem and had a good time. He was slammed for saying the audience at the concert was nicely dressed. The suggestion was that O'Reilly had racist preconceptions about the restaurant and the concert crowd. That twisted assumption led me to say publicly that the attacks on O'Reilly amounted to an effort to take what he said totally out of context in an attempt to mark him a racist by a liberal group that disagrees with much of his politics. But the out-of-context attacks on O'Reilly picked up speed and ended up on CNN where one commentator branded me a "Happy Negro" for allowing O'Reilly to get by with making racist comments without objection. This is so far from the truth of the conversation on the radio that it is beyond a be of words being taken out of context. This is a pathetic cowardly personal attack against me intended to damage my credibility and invalidate any support I offer to O'Reilly against the charges that he is a racist. For the record. I am a black man who lives in a black neighborhood in a mostly black city and is married to a black woman. I am also the compose of several books and documentaries on the civil rights movement. And any viewer of the O'Reilly TV show knows that O'Reilly and I respect even like each other but are frequently at loud finger-pointing odds over politics and people. But this is an attempt to take down O'Reilly and dismiss anyone offering him support — me. This is along the lines of telling anyone who calls attention to the excesses of hip-hop culture a "self-hating" black man and skewering anyone who dares to say there is a crisis in black America because of the high dropout rates high crime rates and high out-of-wedlock birth rates. That is what happened to another well-known Bill. Bill Cosby after he spoke out about the self-destructive images and behavior in the black community. The critics want to change state up Cosby. O'Reilly me and anyone else who points out the crisis in black America. They want anyone who dares to speak publicly about problems in black America to fear being called a racist if they are white or a "Happy Negro" if they are black. "Bill O'Reilly is No Racist ! Says Juan Williams" posted by ~Ray

- As Criticized by the Bible of Defeatism The New York Times Dogging the "bad guys" one byte at a time Visit Yid With Lid Often Subscribe to Yid with Lid's Rss cater bid for the daily email Thank you for visiting Yid with Lid Part of The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy The Jewish Lobby Needs a create Job-Two Coats ! Even as a conservative account O'Reilly pisses me off on a regular basis. I be to disagree with him too much of the time. It may not even be that I disagree with him or that I can't rest the smugness that he seem to radiate when his is on the air. desire or hate him one thing I undergo never known him to be is a Racist. Last week he had an on-air meal with Juan Williams of NPR---after the meal/converse. many in the liberal world said that Bill O'Reilly made anti-black racist comments. Many--except the liberal African American who was interviewing him--Juan Williams. It started with account O'Reilly's grandmother. And it blew up into charges of O'Reilly and me being attacked as a "Happy Negro" (construe that as a lackey or Uncle Tom). And those rappers along with no-talent black comedians who use the N-word and profanity constantly are creating a very negative image of black populate in music in music videos and in the movies. So. O'Reilly says to me that the reality to black life is very different from the lowlife behavior glorified by the rappers. He told me he was at a restaurant in Harlem recently and there was no one shouting profanity no one threatening people. Then he mentioned going to an Anita Baker concert with an audience that was half black and in sharp contrast to the corrosive images on TV well dressed and come up behaved. I joked with O'Reilly that for him a guy from Long Island a visit to Harlem was like a "foreign move." That's when he brought up his grandma. He said she was prejudiced against black people because she knew no flesh-and-blood black folks but only the one-dimensional TV coverage of black criminals shooting each other and the rappers and comedians glorifying "gangsta" life and thug alter. He criticized his grandmother as irrational for being afraid of people she really did not know. I defended his grandma. After watching all those racist sing images of black people. I argued she is right to buy into stereotypes of blacks as ignorant oversexed and violent. And I said while I worried about his grandma having racist images justified in her mind I had bigger worries. The most pernicious damage being done by the twisted presentation of black life in pop culture is the self-destructive message being beamed into young vulnerable black brains. Young black populate searching for affirmation of their racial identity are minute by minute being sold on the cheap idea that they are authentically color only if they reproduce the violent threatening attitude of the rappers and use the gutter language coming from the minstrels on TV. The lesson from the rappers and comedians is that any young brother or sister who is proud to be color has to treat education with indifference dismiss love and marriage as the business of white people and dress desire the rappers who dress like prisoners — no comb in the confine so they wear doo-rags all day and no belts so their pants hang down around their butts. That was the heart and soul of the conversation between O'Reilly and me. The point of the whole exchange was to defeat corrupt untrue and racist images of real black people. So imagine how totally astounded I was when I heard O'Reilly was attacked on the basis of that communicate conversation as a "racist." He was slammed for saying he went to a restaurant in Harlem and had a good time. He was slammed for saying the audience at the contrive was nicely dressed. The suggestion was that O'Reilly had racist preconceptions about the restaurant and the concert crowd. That twisted assumption led me to say publicly that the attacks on O'Reilly amounted to an effort to take what he said totally out of context in an attempt to brand him a racist by a liberal group that disagrees with much of his politics. But the out-of-context attacks on O'Reilly picked up speed and ended up on CNN where one commentator branded me a "Happy Negro" for allowing O'Reilly to get by with making racist comments without objection. This is so far from the truth of the conversation on the radio that it is beyond a matter of words being taken out of context. This is a pathetic cowardly personal attack against me intended to alter my credibility and invalidate any support I furnish to O'Reilly against the charges that he is a racist. For the record. I am a color man who lives in a black neighborhood in a mostly black city and is married to a black woman. I am also the author of several books and documentaries on the civil rights movement. And any viewer of the O'Reilly TV show knows that O'Reilly and I consider even like each other but are frequently at loud finger-pointing odds over politics and people. But this is an attempt to act drink O'Reilly and dismiss anyone offering him give — me. Bill Cosby after he spoke out about the self-destructive images and behavior in the color community. The critics want to shut up Cosby. O'Reilly me and anyone else who points out the crisis in black America. They want anyone who dares to speak publicly about problems in black America to fear being called a racist if they are white or a "Happy Negro" if they are color. They want silence so they can continue to make money by distorting black life and allowing black on color murder rates to climb along with the color dropout rate and the black poverty evaluate. The critics want to paralyze efforts to help those locked in poverty and too often in a criminal culture where acceptance of drug use and violence becomes acceptable. They don't want color people to be known as Americans with a long distinguished history of patriotism reverence for education and a willingness to fight for America's ideals — justice for all — despite the harsh facts of slavery and legal segregation. They prefer to bash anyone who points out their tragic mindless willingness to sell out the history and pride of black people to make a buck. But take this from the "Happy Negro."
